You need you need to get proper size shin guards because if they are too small you can get hurt. You will also need proper socks. The socks have to be built for soccer because they are longer and more durable; they also keep your shin guards in place. If socks are too small, they can cause skin irritation. Lastly you will need soccer cleats. They are supposed to be a bit tight on your foot but not too tight, if they are too loose, they can slip and you can sprain your ankle. Tighter cleats provide more stability.
